Convert AVIF to PNG

Choose PNG in the image converter and drop your .avif files. Every pixel your browser decodes goes into the PNG unchanged, and transparent areas stay transparent — which is the reason to choose PNG over JPG for logos, icons, stickers and cut-out product shots.

Expect a much bigger file

AVIF compresses photographs very hard; PNG compresses them hardly at all. A photo that was 80 KB as AVIF can easily be a megabyte or more as PNG. PNG cannot restore detail the AVIF already discarded — it only stops any further loss. For an ordinary photo, JPG is usually the better trade.

Your browser decodes AVIF itself (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all do), so there is nothing extra to download and nothing leaves your device.
