🔒 Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is uploaded or stored on a server.
The Words to Pages Converter translates a word count into the number of pages it will take up in a standard document — or does the calculation in reverse, telling you how many words you need to write for a target page count. Paste your draft or enter a target number like 1000, choose your font family, size and line spacing, and see the exact page count immediately.
Also on Txtset: calculate speech and speaking time · estimate silent reading time.
Standard formatting conventions assume 1-inch margins on standard US Letter or A4 paper. Under those rules, a 12pt Times New Roman document holds roughly 500 words per page single-spaced, 375 words at 1.5 spacing, and 250 words double-spaced. Different typefaces take up different amounts of space: Arial is slightly wider (235 words double-spaced), while Calibri is more compact (285 words double-spaced).
This tool displays your estimated page count alongside a handy comparison table of all line spacings at once, plus an override for custom words-per-page requirements. Everything runs client-side in your browser, so confidential essays, articles and reports stay private.

Examples
500 words is exactly 1 page single-spaced or 2 pages double-spaced in standard 12pt Times New Roman.
1,000 words in 11pt Calibri yields approximately 3.5 pages double-spaced or 1.8 pages single-spaced.
To fill 5 double-spaced pages in 12pt Times New Roman, you need to write approximately 1,250 words.
Because Verdana is wider, 1,000 words takes roughly 4.7 pages double-spaced compared to 4.0 pages in Times New Roman.
