Scrabble Word Finder
Every word your rack can make, grouped by length and sorted by what it scores.
The dictionary (570 KB) downloads the first time you type, then works offline. Your rack is never uploaded.
SCRABBLE® is a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc. in the United States and Canada, and of Mattel, Inc. elsewhere. Txtset is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by either company. Scores here are tile values only — premium board squares are not counted.
Dictionary: the public-domain ENABLE word list (172,823 words), compiled by Alan Beale and M. Cooper. Source and licence. This is not the TWL or Collins tournament list.
🔒 Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is uploaded or stored on a server.
Type your rack and get every word the dictionary says you can build from it, grouped by length with the longest first and, inside each group, sorted by tile score — because a seven-letter word is not automatically the better play.
Also on Txtset: use every letter instead of a subset · search by pattern when you know some letters.
Blank tiles work properly. Type ? for each blank, up to two. A blank scores zero, and the results say which letter each one stood in for, because a score that quietly counted the blank as a real tile would be wrong in exactly the situation you are using this to decide. Three blanks is refused: it makes almost every word playable, which is not an answer, and no standard set puts three in one rack.
There is also a board letter field for the tile already on the board that you want to play through. Give it a letter and every result is guaranteed to contain it, with that letter treated as free rather than coming out of your rack. Contains, starts-with and ends-with filters narrow things further.
Three things this page will not pretend about. Scores are tile values only — double-word and triple-letter squares depend on a board this page cannot see, and a half-implemented board score is worse than none. The dictionary is ENABLE, public domain, not the TWL or Collins tournament list, so a word can be valid here and rejected in tournament play. And SCRABBLE is somebody else's trademark; the notice is at the bottom of the tool, not buried.
